What is a brief?
 
A Client brief is what your client asks you to do (E.g. make a stealth game that has a 3 hour story).
 
Your own brief is when you do want to do without limitations.
 
Market research is when you research certain games that are similar to the game you are creating for inspiration.
 
Ideas Generation
 
Brainstorming is when you have an idea and branch off to make more new ideas for the game.
 
Moods boards are images arranged in different ways to make you feel s certain emotion.
 
Thumbnail sketching are small drawings which are used to explore different ideas.
 
Concept drawing is when you draw an idea for what something would look like (E.g. Backgrounds, Sprites, Characters, Weapons, Vehicles, Environment), they can be changed later.
 
Legal and Ethical Considerations
 
Copyright laws is when someone gets sued over using character, images or weapons that a company owns without getting having the company agree for them to use their asset.
 
Libel is a law that expresses the fact that you can not have a products that you have that states a hatred for a real life person or people.
 
Female characters in video games are represented differently depending on the company that makes, games that are made for all audiences fairly represent females but games that are intended for an older age demographics are more sexualized.

An intellectual property is a creation that some has made with their mind alone like designs and symbols.
