Project Report 25/10/2018

This week I began to work on my presentation that I will be due in on the end of November. In this presentation I will be saying what my project will be about, what my backup project is in case the first project fails, what the other projects were that I could have made and why they weren't chosen, sketches for each of the projects so people watching the presentation would get an idea what the project is about, why I want to do this project, a Gantt Chart to show how long I will be working on the project and how long I will work on certain parts of the project, who I am and my skills, who is doing this project and a Q&A session at the end of the presentation so the audience can ask questions. This presentation will be recorded and uploaded to this blog at the end of November. Today I was able to make a start on each of the proposal ideas, going over why I chose my main project and why I did not chose any of the other projects, I almost finished them the only thing I

Project Report 18/10/2018

While on my half-term break, just like what I stated I would do in my Schedule I decided to do some research on similar games to the game I am going to make over the course of the college course. The game I researched the most was Megaman because of how it was what originally inspired me to make this type of game. The research that I have been doing is playing through the latest entry in the series Megaman 11 and make several notes on what trends they have and what can be taken to implement in my game and what other features I could change to make my game more unique. I have also been studying how the enemies move so that I can make my own enemies move in a similar pattern so I don't make the game too easy or too hard.

For my initial Idea for my project will be a game since I was a part of games design for two years. I am unsure if I will make a 2D or 3D game since I have experience in both. However, I would like to make a 2D game because I have more ideas of what I want to do in that type of game.

Project Report 04/10/2018

04/10/2018 I created four different projects proposals, a 3D Action, a 2D platformer, a 3D First Person Shooter and a 2D Shooter. Out of the four project proposals, I chose to remove the First Person Shooter and the Action game. I chose these two to be removed because of how much time it would take to create and animate a 3D Model and make a good 3D environment. 3D Action Game Created by Luke Anderson Genre: Crime, Action Target Audience: 18 to 30 Year Olds. The game would take place within a city where you would be able to explore it to your leisure. You will be able to go into several different buildings and interact with the business. You can persuade some of these business to give you money to protect them so that every time they are under attack by some thugs, you go over and beat them up. There will also be places that are under protection by other gangs which will show up to beat you up if you cause a commotion. The main gameplay is being able to bea

Project Specification As I stated last week, I am most interested in the 2D Shooter and 2D Platformer. I have chosen to do the 2D Shooter instead of the 2D Platformer. I have chosen to do the 2D Shooter because I am inherently more interested and I believe it would give me more marks because of all the ideas there are that can be implemented. Created by Luke Anderson Genre: Sci-Fi Target Audience: 20 Year Olds who are into Retro games. A 2D shooter game similar to games like Megaman where you run and jump through levels that contain multiple types of enemies and obstacles. You can choose any of the levels that you want to play aside from the final level. At the end of each level you gain a new ability that you can use to make it through the new levels. After you beat each of the levels you can go back to them and explore them more with the abilities that you acquire so you can take different paths and fight through new areas and new bosses. The levels will take
