Project Report 13/12/2018

I spent this time downloading asset to help with my project so that the project will be easier to do.

Project Report 29/11/2018

This week I focused on my assignment that was due in on this day. Because of this, I haven't been able to work on my project.

Unit 35 & 36: Assignment 1

Unit 35 & 36: Assignment 1 Task 1 DHCP The Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) automatically assigns a computer an IP address so that they can be logged into an IP network. The IP address is temporary and will be changed the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, however, it can be kept permanently unless another system has the same IP address. DNS The Domain Name System (DNS) is used to convert names into a numerical IP address. It is used to turn the URL into an IP address for that website. If you didn't have DNS the URL for your website you would have to type in four numbers and multiple dots to get to that website. TCP/IP The Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) is the  most widely used communications protocol. The TCP/IP prepares and is able to forward data packets over a network, an example being an Ethernet. This is the UNIX standard, the protocol of the Internet and the glo

This week was when we presented our presentations to the class and Wayne. This was the only part of the project I could get done.

Project Report 08/11/2018

This week I was more focused on starting the new project that Wayne had set us that was due in on the 29th of November. Since I was working on this I haven't done anything to further the progress on my project this week.

Project Report 01/11/2018

This week after working on my address book for the first half of the day, I then went on to making my presentation. In my presentation I went into more detail about why I didn't do the other proposals as my main project. The three other projects were my 3D Brawler, 3D First Person Shooter and the 2D Platformer. The reason I won't be doing the 3D Brawler is because it would take too much time and resources it would require to finish even half of it. The reason I won't be doing the 3D First Person Shooter is because it is too simple and would be done too fast with very few complications that would make blogging the process very short. The reason I won't be doing the 2D Platformer is because it would be a lot more simple to make than the 2D Shooter and I wouldn't be able to blog as much as I could with my current project.

Project Report 25/10/2018

This week I began to work on my presentation that I will be due in on the end of November. In this presentation I will be saying what my project will be about, what my backup project is in case the first project fails, what the other projects were that I could have made and why they weren't chosen, sketches for each of the projects so people watching the presentation would get an idea what the project is about, why I want to do this project, a Gantt Chart to show how long I will be working on the project and how long I will work on certain parts of the project, who I am and my skills, who is doing this project and a Q&A session at the end of the presentation so the audience can ask questions. This presentation will be recorded and uploaded to this blog at the end of November. Today I was able to make a start on each of the proposal ideas, going over why I chose my main project and why I did not chose any of the other projects, I almost finished them the only thing I

Project Report 18/10/2018

While on my half-term break, just like what I stated I would do in my Schedule I decided to do some research on similar games to the game I am going to make over the course of the college course. The game I researched the most was Megaman because of how it was what originally inspired me to make this type of game. The research that I have been doing is playing through the latest entry in the series Megaman 11 and make several notes on what trends they have and what can be taken to implement in my game and what other features I could change to make my game more unique. I have also been studying how the enemies move so that I can make my own enemies move in a similar pattern so I don't make the game too easy or too hard.

Project Report 27/09/2018

For my initial Idea for my project will be a game since I was a part of games design for two years. I am unsure if I will make a 2D or 3D game since I have experience in both. However, I would like to make a 2D game because I have more ideas of what I want to do in that type of game.

Project Report 04/10/2018

04/10/2018 I created four different projects proposals, a 3D Action, a 2D platformer, a 3D First Person Shooter and a 2D Shooter. Out of the four project proposals, I chose to remove the First Person Shooter and the Action game. I chose these two to be removed because of how much time it would take to create and animate a 3D Model and make a good 3D environment. 3D Action Game Created by Luke Anderson Genre: Crime, Action Target Audience: 18 to 30 Year Olds. The game would take place within a city where you would be able to explore it to your leisure. You will be able to go into several different buildings and interact with the business. You can persuade some of these business to give you money to protect them so that every time they are under attack by some thugs, you go over and beat them up. There will also be places that are under protection by other gangs which will show up to beat you up if you cause a commotion. The main gameplay is being able to bea

Project Specification As I stated last week, I am most interested in the 2D Shooter and 2D Platformer. I have chosen to do the 2D Shooter instead of the 2D Platformer. I have chosen to do the 2D Shooter because I am inherently more interested and I believe it would give me more marks because of all the ideas there are that can be implemented. Created by Luke Anderson Genre: Sci-Fi Target Audience: 20 Year Olds who are into Retro games. A 2D shooter game similar to games like Megaman where you run and jump through levels that contain multiple types of enemies and obstacles. You can choose any of the levels that you want to play aside from the final level. At the end of each level you gain a new ability that you can use to make it through the new levels. After you beat each of the levels you can go back to them and explore them more with the abilities that you acquire so you can take different paths and fight through new areas and new bosses. The levels will take

Unit 26 & 2: Task 4

Improvements that could have been made to our network would be to install several work-related apps (Like Microsoft Word or something similar) so that people who used our computers would also be able to work, be able to access the internet so that if they have any inquiries during their work they can look up anything they need to and they will also be able to manually update any software from their own computer and also install a better web browser so that when the employees search the internet they can do it faster. Another way to improve our network is to improve the scalability by adding more applications and software that can improve the usefulness of our system. We can improve our hardware by downloading the updates in the Windows Server 2003 Pack 2 which improve the networks security, speed and prevent glitches that causes memory loss, missing documents and makes sure that some applications work properly. The bandwidth could be improved b

Partner: Kori Chamberlain We used Yumi Multiboot on a USB. At first we tried to install Windows 7. However, we couldn't login into and after we tried to install it again after we logged in all we got was the command menu. We installed Windows 2003 on the PC. It was the first operating system that we were able to fully install without failure. It was installed by using a CD Rom that was inserted into the Disc Drive. After using the CD Rom we were successfully able to access our computer. We only setup one user. IP Address: 192.168.25.102 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: 192.168.25.254 With this computer I was able to connect to the web browsers. We were also able to view images. However, I couldn't go on any websites because I wasn't able to connect to the internet, as such I could only use the search engine to search things. We tried connecting the internet to the local area, however, this
