The game Hatred is owned by Destructive Creations, the name comes from how the main character hates all of humanity and wants them all dead, the look and feel of the game are very dark, bleak and hopeless which was intentional because your controlling a mass murdering psychopath. The developers were intending to have the game on both Steam and on GOG.com, it was put on Steam Greenlight before getting taken down but soon after this it was put back up on Steam and Gabe Newell personally apologized to the team behind the game. The game did not get delayed and came out when it said it would, June 1st, 2015.

Apology letter to Hatred developers Destructive Creations
Hi, Jaroslaw.
Yesterday I heard that we were taking Hatred down from Greenlight. Since I wasn't up to speed, I asked around internally to find out why we had done that. It turns out that it wasn't a good decision, and we'll be putting Hatred back up. My apologies to you and your team. Steam is about creating tools for content creators and customers.
Good luck with your game.
Gabe

All of the rights to Hatred are owned by Destructive Creations since they developed and published the game. The game Hatred was given an Adults-Only in America and Canada but in the UK it was given an 18+ rating. The game doesn't have any health and safety warnings. They did not use the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) because the developers are based in Gliwice, Poland.

The game from every ethical angle is morally wrong, the reason it got an Adults-Only in America is because of how it reminds people of school shootings or other events similar to this, the police unit in the game is called the 'Human Shields' which is used in the context of the game to show how they failed to save the civilians, the main character at one point in the game kidnaps someone and tortures them, the main character at one point in the game goes to a rally for local politician and kills everyone there and the ending of the game involves the main character blowing a nuclear power plant which kills himself and blows up half of New York.
