Unit 26 and 2: Task 3

Partner: Kori Chamberlain

We used Yumi Multiboot on a USB.

At first we tried to install Windows 7.

However, we couldn't login into and after we tried to install it again after we logged in all we got was the command menu.

We installed Windows 2003 on the PC. It was the first operating system that we were able to fully install without failure. It was installed by using a CD Rom that was inserted into the Disc Drive.

After using the CD Rom we were successfully able to access our computer.

We only setup one user.

With this computer I was able to connect to the web browsers.

We were also able to view images.

However, I couldn't go on any websites because I wasn't able to connect to the internet, as such I could only use the search engine to search things.

We tried connecting the internet to the local area, however, this didn't work and we still couldn't access the internet.

Firewall settings changed to protect more of the computer.

After we found this we were able to protect our computer better.

We were able to put Avast, an Antivirus software onto our computer with a hard drive. However, it wouldn't work.

We couldn't find out why Avast wouldn't work, however, it did say that it couldn't find KERNEL32.dll.

We then installed ClamWin, an Antivirus software which we were able to use.

After we used it we found that there were no viruses on our computer.

We found out the processors for the computer and that they were both healthy.

Time and Date have been corrected.

We were able to setup Ubuntu on another computer.

We were able to view the applications that we already on the computer.

The web browser used was Firefox.

We were able to actually to view web pages on Ubuntu.
