Project Report 04/10/2018

04/10/2018

I created four different projects proposals, a 3D Action, a 2D platformer, a 3D First Person Shooter and a 2D Shooter.

Out of the four project proposals, I chose to remove the First Person Shooter and the Action game. I chose these two to be removed because of how much time it would take to create and animate a 3D Model and make a good 3D environment.

3D Action Game

Created by Luke Anderson

Genre: Crime, Action

Target Audience: 18 to 30 Year Olds.

The game would take place within a city where you would be able to explore it to your leisure. You will be able to go into several different buildings and interact with the business. You can persuade some of these business to give you money to protect them so that every time they are under attack by some thugs, you go over and beat them up. There will also be places that are under protection by other gangs which will show up to beat you up if you cause a commotion.

The main gameplay is being able to beat up anyone who tries to attack you. You can fight using your fists or anything that you can pick up, ranging from baseball bats to rocks.

In the city you will be able to make money by delivering packages or by beating up people on the street. You can use money to buy more weapons or to get more moves for your character. You can get more moves by going to a dojo and take lessons. You can increase your stats by going to the gym and train.

In the city you will be able to explore the rooftops and jump from place to place and can take the stairs to get on or off of the roofs (Or by jumping off of the roof if you want to take the fast way down).

You will have a health bar that will deplete as you take damage, you will die if you run out of health. You can restore your health bar by eating food at restaurants which will give you more health but can only be eaten in restaurants or you can get food from convenience stores that recover less health but can also be eaten anywhere.

3D First Person Shooter

Created by Luke Anderson

Genre: Sci-Fi

Target Audience: 18-30 Years Olds.

The game will take place in a space centre. To beat the game you will have to get to the end of the level.

In the game you will be fighting several different types of enemies such as astronauts that will attack you with guns that are similar to your weapons, robots that can fly after you but are weaker than the other types of enemies and aliens that use physical attacks and are naturally stronger.

In several points in the level you will enter places with lower gravity that will drastically effect how you move and the environment. In lower gravity you will jump much higher and further at the cost of slow walking speed. The lower gravity will also effect the enemies in different ways such as the aliens being easier to take care of but the flying robots will be much faster and thus harder to take care of.

In the levels in the game you will have to deal with different types of obstacles such as meteors that may hit you when you are outside of the space centre, out of control turrets that will shoot at you and the enemies, machinery that may attack you and the enemies if you get in the way.

You will be able to use several different types of guns throughout the game. You will be able to use more real world weapons like shotguns and assault rifles, but you will also be able to use more Sci-Fi weapons like laser weapons. Both types of guns will use ammo that can be found around the level, however, ammo for the laser weaponry will be a lot less common, to make up for this these weapons will be stronger and have added effects like being able to set the enemy on fire or freeze them.

So I will be keeping both the 2D Platformer and the 2D Shooter.
